Chloe Torrence is a director and theatre-maker who has just relocated to southern California. A recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Chloe has spent the last 4 years creating art in both Pittsburgh and in her home town. While she is primarily a director, she also has experience in acting, costume design, event planning, and music composition and performance.
In 2015, she founded The Actor's Playground in her hometown of Berlin, Ohio- the World's Largest Amish Settlement. Creating this program was so important to Chloe because of the lack of opportunity in her community. Her goal has always been to provide creative outlets for children that weren't available to her as a child. While it began as a small theatre company, it has now developed into a full-fledged program, as well as a Fairytale Entertainment business. This past summer, Chloe served as the Youth Coordinator for Front Porch Theatricals in their production of Fun Home. She also had the opportunity to work on a few enjoyable stand-alone projects. One of these was acting as the Storyline Consultant for the Berlin Escape Room. Additionally, she designed two events for the Party Like A Princess series; The Father-Daughter Ball, and The Royal Wedding. She also had the privilege of teaching theatre at SSA- a Pittsburgh Summer Camp. She's settling into her new position assistant directing at the Pacific Conservatory Theatre. Her first project was assisting Melissa Rain Anderson on a production of The Little Mermaid. She now looks forward to Julius Caesar (March 5-22) and The Sound of Music (April 23- May 10).
